Media Experts Steve Hull and Stan Smith to Open Tallahassee Office for Smarter Story

Tallahassee, FL – Nov. 26, 2012 — Corporate and political public relations strategist Stan Smith, the co-creator of MyFlorida.com and award winning TV producer Steve Hull have announced they are expanding Fort Lauderdale-based Smarter Story, LLC opening a new office in Tallahassee, Florida.

The firm specializes in full service strategic communications, including TV and radio production, executing media placement, public affairs and providing digital media services including web sites, content development, internet video, search engine optimization, user analytics and social media strategies.

“We help corporations, organizations and candidates develop and distribute their message to achieve a winning outcome,” said Smith. Hull added, “Every great cause has a great story to tell, and we look forward to offering our team approach, utilizing today’s leading communications technologies to ensure victory for our clients and partners.”

Hull and Smith have over 50 years of experience in the corporate, political and governmental arenas.

Smith, the former press secretary and spokesman for the Republican Party of Florida also worked as a state Communications Director for the 1988 George H.W. Bush for President Campaign and served as a communications advisor in 11 southern states at the Republican National Committee for the late Chairman Lee Atwater. Smith also served as Communications Director for the Florida Department of State.

Smith later served as Director of Communications at Huizenga Holdings, Inc. and was personal spokesman and speech writer for H. Wayne Huizenga, world renowned entrepreneur who built three Fortune 500 companies; Waste Management, Blockbuster and AutoNation while owning the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins and Florida Panthers professional sports franchises.

Hull served as press secretary to Florida Governor Bob Graham from 1977 through 1985 and then began working as a TV producer for scores of GOP campaigns, issues advocacy efforts, legislative and public affairs initiatives. Hull also worked as a journalist for the St. Petersburg Times, Palm Beach Post, Knight Newspapers and Miami TV station WPLG.

The media firm, located on-line at http://SmarterStory.com also includes Ron Polito who heads Digital Convergence from a Chicago office. Smith and Polito began working creatively together in 1984 while attending Wheaton College and have developed many successful projects over the years including productions at RainUp and Pivotal Pictures.

The company also includes veteran PR executive, former newspaper editor and journalist Kevin Boyd, who is current Chair of community advocacy organization Broward Days Tallahassee, and John Hooper who is focused on community relations and Hispanic outreach.
